California Juvenile law – sealing juvenile records
If you have been convicted of a juvenile offense, we can help you seal your juvenile record. Any juvenile records held by the prosecutors, police, or any other agency can be sealed. The benefit of having your juvenile record sealed is that it will be as if you never committed the offense. You can legally answer “no” if you are asked on a criminal background check on whether you have ever committed a crime.
Eligibility
You may be able to get your juvenile record sealed if:
- Your are 18 years of age,
- Have not committed any crime of moral turpitude since your probation ended,
- Your case started and ended in juvenile court,
- You do not have an ongoing civil suit regarding the underlying actions of your juvenile record, AND
- You have been fully rehabilitated.
