The Torrance Courthouse is a very nice facility. Parking is plentiful and free of charge. It is located around 10 minutes away from the nearest freeway – the 405 Freeway.
If you are facing a traffic case, you will be required to appear at the hearing. However, you can file for an extension online. In most misdemeanor cases, your Los Angeles criminal defense attorney can appear for you in court and you will likely never have to show up at the Torrance Courthouse. You will be required to attend the hearing if you are attempting to recall a bench warrant. You must arrive in court by 8:30 a.m. unless specifically told otherwise by a judge or attorney.

Programs and Jails in Torrance
If you are convicted of a first-time DUI in Torrance, you will be required to attend a 12-week alcohol program called the AB 541 program. A second or third DUI conviction in Torrance means you will have to attend an 18-month program called SB 38.
