This courthouse is the only one that handles criminal cases in the High Desert. The presiding judge at the Victorville Courthouse is Judge John P. Vader Feer. Misdemeanors cases are handled in departments V5 and V6 while felonies are handled by departments V7, V8 and V9. Department V1 handles juvenile matters. Trials go to departments V2, V3 and V4. Traffic cases are handled by departments V14 and V15.
