Contact us today if you are seeking a California Governor’s Pardon.

Our client was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Los Angeles Superior Court in November 1981. The client and a friend were playing with a firearm when the gun accidentally went off, striking and killing the friend. Our client served 48 months’ probation but was not sentenced to jail time. He was discharged from probation in November 1985.

The client came to Wallin & Klarich seeking a Governor’s Pardon so that he could have his felony conviction stricken from his criminal record, making it easier for him to gain employment. On Dec. 24, 2013, Gov. Jerry Brown granted a full pardon to our client.

How Wallin & Klarich Can Help You Obtain a California Governor’s Pardon

In order to obtain a Governor’s Pardon for our client, our experienced attorneys submitted the pardon application to the Governors office. We also included a substantial amount of documentary evidence in support of the request for a pardon. This included numerous character letters that attested to our clients outstanding background and moral character. When Governor Brown granted our client the pardon, he stated that our client “has lived an honest and upright life, exhibited good moral character, and conducted himself as a law abiding citizen” since his release from custody.

Since Governor Jerry Brown took office in 2011, he has granted 341 pardons. Our client’s pardon was one of 127 pardons granted by Gov. Brown on Dec. 24. Former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger only granted a total of 16 pardons throughout his entire seven-year tenure as governor. Governor Gray Davis granted no pardons when he was governor.

It is clear that your time to retain our law firm to seek a Governor’s Pardon is now.
