Vandalism at Irvine High School

Brian Martinez a reporter for the OC Register reported recently, that on Thursday of this week, vandals had vandalized Irvine High School which was confirmed on Friday. The vandalism consisted of spray paint of words and drawings and apparently from members of a rival school.  The Irvine police department and district officials have some leads however no arrests have been made at this time.  The cost was estimated at over $1400.00.
If the amount damage or destruction is four hundred dollars or more, then this crime is  punishable by up to 3 years in prison and by a fine of up to ten thousand dollars. If the amount of damage or destruction is less than four hundred dollars, then this crime is punishable by up to one year in the county jail and a by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars.

Graffiti or other inscribed material includes an unauthorized inscription, word, figure, mark, or design that is written, marked, etched, scratched, drawn, or painted on real or personal property.
In addition to any criminal penalties, the court shall suspend your privilege to drive according to the California Vehicle Code.
