I got my DUI on Friday 13th of May, 2013. My hard copy of license was taken and I was given a temporary license for 30 days by the arresting officer. I was ordered 18 months multiple offenders alcohol education classes and the next day after my court hearing I enrolled into the classes and took classes for 6-7 months. Then I had to go out of United States for some family issue and I'm still out station. So now my 18 month program is midway. Now I will be coming back to California, United states within next 2 months. So as matter of fact I did not had any license for past 3 and half years. My wife got some job in Texas and now we will be moving to Texas and I will need a license there to work and earn a livelihood but I'm not finished with classes yet. My Question here is that can I take classes out of California in Texas or can I transfer it to Texas. Second thing is that A person can request the DMV to waive his privilege to get driver's license or privilege to drive for 3 years in California and that way you can go around or byepass the alcohol education program. So now as I didn't had any license for last 3 and half years, so am I eligible to byepass the alcohol education classes ? And what measures I'll have to take to get a valid Texas driver's license??
