NFL Player Aqib Talib Arrested for Assault

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Aqib Talib surrendered to police on Wednesday morning on a warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the St. Petersburg Times reported.  His mother, Okolo Talib, reportedly turned herself in Tuesday afternoon which was reported by FOXSports.com’s Adam Caplan and NewsCore.

According to police, Talib was involved in a fight on March 21 with his sister’s boyfriend, Shannon Billings, the Dallas Observer reported Monday.  The incident, according to police, stemmed from an argument at Talib’s sister Saran’s house between her and Billings.

Saran Talib reportedly called her brother and mother for help during the alleged altercation.
