High School Student Prank Results in Attempted Murder Charges

Did you ever imagine that a high school student would seek the assistance of a California murder defense attorney after pulling a prank on a teacher?

You are a high school student and you really, really hate your teacher. She picks on you. She gives you detention. She makes you do too much homework. She even tells you that you are lazy and if you don’t shape up, you will never make it to college. You have had enough of her.

One day you decide it is payback time. So you and a friend decide to put pencil lead and other “substances” in her coffee when she is out of the classroom for a few minutes. At last sweet revenge! Of course you don’t think about the possible serious consequences to the teacher or to you.

Another student warns the teacher right before she is about to drink her coffee. The principal is called. The police are called. You and your friend are both arrested for ATTEMPTED MURDER. YES ATTEMPTED MURDER.

Your “prank” that you thought would get you “even” will now potentially get you many years in jail and a lifetime crime record.

Your parents are called and they don’t know where to turn. Luckily they find Wallin &Klarich’s murder defense attorneys, and we are able to speak to the police and the prosecutors and negotiate a result that has the DA lower the charges to a misdemeanor, and you are released from custody under strict terms of probation. Lucky for you that your parents found our murder defense law firm. However, as much as you “hated” your teacher, it turns out she really didn’t hate you. She tells the prosecutors that you are basically a good kid and that she doesn’t want you to spend years in jail.

So the moral of this story is before you decide to do your next “really funny prank,” consider that this “silly prank” could easily lead you to jail and to consequences that could ruin your life. Better yet, the next time your teacher says to do your homework surprise her and just do your homework. Then you go to college, you go to law school, you become a lawyer and you can help kids just like you from ending up in jail.
