El Monte Man Avoids Sex Offender Registration

Charges of Sexual Battery against an El Monte resident were dismissed. After reviewing the law enforcement reports and medical evaluations, Attorney Matthew Wallin was able to present evidence that persuaded the prosecutor and judge to dismiss the sexual battery charges.

As a result of Mr. Wallin’s legal assistance, the defendant was not required to register as a sex offender pursuant to California Penal Code section 290, and was not required to serve any time in custody according to court record.

Charges of annoying or molesting a child completely dropped after providing mitigating information to the prosecution… The client was accused of having acted inappropriately with a 13 year old boy. The client and the boy attended the same church at the time of the alleged crime. The child’s parents claimed that the client sent inappropriate communications to the child and additionally, that the client had acted inappropriately towards the child at certain church functions. The client faced up to one year in jail, up to $5000 in fines, and a three year probation period if convicted.

20 Year Sex Crime Sentence Thrown Out

According to Orange County court records a man facing 20 years in prison had sexual assault charges dropped thanks to the attorneys at Wallin & Klarich. I WAS ACCUSED OF Rape of a child under 12 years of age, sodomy of a child less than 12 years of age and indecent acts with a child under 12 years of age.
