To convict you of corporal injury on a spouse, the prosecution will have to prove ALL of the following elements:

• You willfully inflicted the injury
• The person you hurt was your spouse, cohabitant, or co-parent
• The injury resulted in a traumatic condition

If the prosecution cannot prove all of these elements of the offense, then you cannot be convicted of corporal injury on a spouse.

You will need to consult with a criminal defense lawyer if you want to know more about possible defenses and how they will apply in your case.

The lawyers at Wallin & Klarich are eager to provide you with this information. For over thirty years, Wallin & Klarich has successfully represented clients accused of domestic violence.

Call us today at 877-4NO-JAIL or 877-466-5245 to speak with one of our domestic violence defense attorneys. We will be there when you call.
