Brief History / Committment To My Clients:
I retired as a Police Sergeant in 1994. During my tenure with the
police department I worked the DUI task force, major narcotics unit,
worked as a field training officer, and was in charge of internal
affairs just prior to my retirement. I qualified in court as an expert
on DUI cases, under the influence of narcotics/drugs, and on possession
for sales of narcotics. I also practiced law while I was employed with
the police department and my practice was devoted mostly to family law
and juvenile dependency matters. I was placed on the juvenile dependency
panel in 1999 in the Edmund D. Edelman's Court in Los Angeles and
handled over 150 juvenile dependency cases. I have also represented
numerous clients in all phases of family law matters. I began to focus
on criminal law after my retirement from the police department and I
became a member of the Los Angeles Indigent Criminal Defense Appointment
Panel (ICDA). I have represented hundreds of defendants in criminal
cases since my appointment to the panel. My experience in law
enforcement gives me the edge when representing the accused and I use it
to my advantage.
