Results:

  1. Client was charged with drive by shooting with gang enhancements. He was facing 17 years in state prison if convicted. I was able to establish client was not at shooting location after thorough review of all evidence. District Attorney dismissed the case after I had presented them with evidence that exonerated client.

  2. Client was charged with possession of ecstasy for sale. Offer was 6 months county jail. End result was credit for time served of only 3 days.

  3. Client facing DUI marijuana charge. Based on my experience, I was able to determine arresting officers had no clue as to objective symptoms of marijuana intoxication. Charges dismissed when I pointed out all of the problems with the arrest report and officer's lack of experience.

  4. Client was charged with possession of methamphetamine with a firearm. Offer was one year county jail. I filed motion to suppress the evidence and it was granted. All the evidence was suppressed and the case was dismissed.

  5. Client was charged with a DUI with a prior conviction. His blood alcohol level was .16% (2x the legal limit). He was stopped at a DUI checkpoint. I filed a motion to suppress the evidence and the prosecutor conceded the motion was well taken and they dismissed the case.

  6. Client was charged with a DUI and her blood alcohol level was .26%. I fought the DMV hearing for the suspension of her license and won. Her license was reinstated. Her DUI was reduced to a reckless driving.

  7. Client was charged with DUI drugs (cocaine) and he was on parole. Prosecutor dismissed the DUI charges when I announced ready for trial.

Brief History / Committment To My Clients:
I retired as a Police Sergeant in 1994. During my tenure with the police department I worked the DUI task force, major narcotics unit, worked as a field training officer, and was in charge of internal affairs just prior to my retirement. I qualified in court as an expert on DUI cases, under the influence of narcotics/drugs, and on possession for sales of narcotics. I also practiced law while I was employed with the police department and my practice was devoted mostly to family law and juvenile dependency matters. I was placed on the juvenile dependency panel in 1999 in the Edmund D. Edelman's Court in Los Angeles and handled over 150 juvenile dependency cases. I have also represented numerous clients in all phases of family law matters. I began to focus on criminal law after my retirement from the police department and I became a member of the Los Angeles Indigent Criminal Defense Appointment Panel (ICDA). I have represented hundreds of defendants in criminal cases since my appointment to the panel. My experience in law enforcement gives me the edge when representing the accused and I use it to my advantage.
