First and foremost, you must retain an experienced criminal defense attorney to advocate on your behalf in court with the judge and assigned prosecutor. A few examples of arguments that can be made in an effort to get your bail reduced include:
(1)    Demonstrate that you have sufficient local contacts in the area such that you are not a flight risk. This can be accomplished through character letters, proof of gainful employment, surrendering passport, etc.
(2)    Demonstrate you are not a danger to your community. Show the court your lack of prior record and character for non-violence.
