Hiring Wallin & Klarich at an Early Stage Can Make a Difference
Client was arrested for battery against a school official. An argument
ensued with school officials concerning client's grades at a local
college. Security officers were called and a scuffle took place
between the client and the officers. Client called Wallin &
Klarich soon after the arrest. Wallin & Klarich then contacted
the City Attorney's Office immediately in an attempt to arrange
some type of prefiling resolution. Our Wallin & Klarich attorney
was able to schedule a hearing at the City Attorney's office where
we argued on the client's behalf. This resulted in no charges being
filed against the client and no penalties. Client's clean criminal
record was preserved.
- Client was arrested for domestic violence. After fifteen years of marriage,
a disagreement between client and his wife became violent. Client
faced deportation if convicted. Client hired Wallin & Klarich
after the arrest and a City Attorney hearing was scheduled to allow
our attorney to argue for a prefiling resolution. In the end, charges
were not filed in exchange for the client's participation in a short-term
counseling class.
- Client was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell. Client
was a juvenile and got caught on his high school campus with several
baggies full of marijuana. Client's parents retained Wallin &
Klarich immediately. We contacted school officials, the school district
and the county probation department in an attempt to resolve the
matter without formal charges being filed. Wallin & Klarich
was able to reach an informal resolution and charges were never
filed. Client was able to avoid a jail sentence and a criminal record.
- Client was arrested for domestic violence and was being held on $25,000.00
bail despite having no prior criminal record. Client's family hired
Wallin & Klarich the night before the arraignment to try to
convince the District Attorney's office not to file charges. The
Wallin & Klarich attorney appeared at court the next morning
prior to the arraignment to meet with the District Attorney reviewing
the police report and the file. After extensive negotiations, the
District Attorney chose not to file charges. Client was released
from custody that same day with no criminal record.
