Lindsay Lohan has rejected an offer from the Los Angles County District Attorney’s Office and will continue to fight her case. Lohan is accused of stealing a necklace valued at $2,500.00, but she maintains her innocence. The Los Angles County District Attorney’s Office had reportedly offered Lohan a deal that included three years of formal, supervised probation, as well as six months in the Los Angeles County Jail. Moreover, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz had also reportedly offered to cut the jail time down to just three months.
However, Lohan declined the offer and her case is now set for a preliminary hearing on April 22. At the conclusion of the preliminary hearing, a Judge will have to decide whether there is enough evidence against Lohan, to proceed with a trial.
If convicted Lohan could be facing time in prison and thus it will be interesting to see what transpires at the upcoming preliminary hearing.
