Military Criminal Defense
Wallin & Klarich specializes in San Diego Military criminal cases, if you need a Military Lawyer in Orange County or San Diego, call today. If charges are brought against a loved one or yourself while serving in the military, Wallin & Klarich can help as it is one of the few law firms with a fully qualified military attorney on staff. The military legal system can be very intimidating without proper representation. Our military attorney has tried misdemeanor and felony cases in the military courts. Our military attorney also has experience with the military command structure, as he was himself a Commander. This background is very useful since it is the command which brings charges against the individual service member.
Military trials are called court-martials and the juries are composed of military personnel both enlisted and officers, referred to as members. Military crimes are categorized into three categories: Summary court-martial, where one officer serves as Judge and Jury with the maximum confinement time being 30 days; Special court-martial, the military equivalent of a civilian misdemeanor with the maximum confinement time being 6 months; and General court-martial, the military equivalent of a civilian felony court with unlimited punishment. There are also hosts of non-judicial procedures known as Non-judicial punishment (NJP) in the Navy and Marine Corps and Article 15 in the Army and Air Force. These non-judicial procedures also include administrative separations for misconduct, overweight, medical issues and sexual orientation. We can provide counsel on all of these issues and more. Do not hesitate to set up an appointment to consult with our attorneys.

Testimonials
Military Law
“I received an OTHER THAN HONORABLE DISCHARGE from the Military as a result of a positive urinalysis while I was a reservist. This category of discharge effected my ability to get work and generally acted as a black mark on my record. As a result I hired the law offices of Wallin & Klarich who have a military attorney on staff. Wallin & Klarich proved to be very knowledgeable regarding requesting an upgrade in my discharge categorization. They filed the appropriate forms and submitted evidence with the forms to strengthen my case for an upgrade. I then appeared in front of a Discharge Review Board and before saying a word the board members informed me that based on the papers I submitted they were leaning very heavily toward granting my upgrade. A few weeds later I received the good news that my discharge was upgraded to HONORABLE DISCHARGE. Now I intend to sue the military for back wages. I am very grateful to the attorneys of Wallin & Klarich and would highly recommend them for any military legal matter.”
